Do we need to be a registered 501(c)(3)?
No. Any league, club, school team or community sports org can raise on Krafund. If you're not a 501(c)(3), donations aren't tax-deductible — we make that clear on your donor page. We'll help you get set up during onboarding.
How fast does money hit our bank?
Our payment partner clears funds in two business days. Your first payout may take up to seven days while your account is verified — after that, it's daily, rolling into whatever bank you connect during setup.
What are the fees, exactly?
4% on Starter, 3% on League, 2% on Network. Payment processing (2.9% + 30¢ per card, 0.8% capped at $5 for bank transfer) is passed through at cost. No setup fee, no minimum, nothing monthly until you raise $1,000.
Can a coach post updates without seeing the money?
Yes. Role-based access means Coaches only see their team's campaign — updates, photos, messages — but never donor emails, bank accounts, or reports. Those live with Owner and Treasurer roles only.
How do local sponsors pay?
Sponsors pick a tier from your campaign page. We auto-generate an invoice with your W-9 attached and net-30 terms — or they can pay instantly by card or bank transfer. You see them in your dashboard the moment they commit.
What if we don't hit our goal?
You keep every dollar raised. Krafund is all-or-something — donors expect their money to help either way. Extend the deadline, close the campaign, or issue refunds at your discretion.
Is our donor data safe?
Yes. Every league's data is isolated — no cross-league leakage, ever. We never store card numbers (our payment partner handles that). Sensitive fields are encrypted at rest. Full security doc at krafund.com/security.
